Get Ready to Vote!
Tomorrow (Tuesday) is election day! Unless you have been living alone in the mountains for the past year, I’m sure you already knew that. Just a few things to remember to help you make the most of tomorrow.
Remember to bring a photo ID, especially if you are a first time voter. A driver’s license, employee ID card, Student ID, or passport will do the trick. If you don’t have one of these, bring your most recent utility bill that has your address on it.
Polls will open at 7:00AM and close at 8:00PM. If you are in line when the polls close, you still get to vote. Do not let anyone talk you out of leaving.
You can vote even if you have debts, parking tickets, owe back taxes, or have unpaid bills. Don’t let anyone convince you otherwise.
You can wear shirts, buttons, and stickers supporting a candidate, but the people running the polls can ask you to cover them up while you are voting.
Make sure you know where you are supposed to go. You can find your polling place here.
If you have any problems on election day, call one of the numbers below. They can tell you what your rights are and assist you if there is a problem.
Sen. Barack Obama’s help line: 1-877-5-PA-OBAMA (1-877-572-6226)
