Free Ice Cream on Election Day
After you cast your vote on Tuesday, November 4th, head over to Squirrel Hill for a free scoop of ice cream. Ben and Jerry’s is giving away free scoops of ice cream on election day from 5:00PM-8:00PM. Whether you vote for John McCain or Barack Obama, you can enjoy free Cherry Garcia, Imagine Whirled Peace, or any of their other original flavors.
Not voting? I suppose that is your choice (though you really should if you are old enough), and Ben and Jerry’s will still give you your free scoop of ice cream.
The Ben and Jerry’s store in Squirrel Hill is located at 5885 Forbes Ave.
If you choose to purchase some other ice cream, you should know that a portion of the proceeds at this location benefit Life’sWork of Western Pennsylvania. This organization helps to teach young people job skills, and uses the ice cream shop as a teaching lab.
